Vaping in public schools a growing concern in CNMI

The increase in student vaping is a major concern in Northern Mariana Islands schools despite efforts to address it. Vaping devices are hard to detect due to their discreet designs, resembling everyday items like pens. The CDC warns that e-cigarettes, particularly popular among youth, are unsafe and highly addictive, affecting brain development. Various factors like marketing and flavored products influence young people to vape. Measures like banning flavored e-liquids and restricting sales have been proposed in different regions, with varied success. Australia has limited vape sales to pharmacies.
