Tobacco still major threat to health, says WHO

The World Health Organisation Framework Convention on Tobacco Control has restated the warning that tobacco in all its forms for consumption still remains a threat to life and human well-being. According to the WHO FCTC, eight million people lose their lives yearly to tobacco either directly or indirectly. Speaking at the virtual event, Timco said, “Tobacco has been and continues to be a major threat to health, life, the well-being not only of humans but also the planet, so tobacco is really a heavy burden on human life and the environment.
