Supreme Court Weighs FDA Ban on Sweet Vapes Amid Youth Vaping Spike

The U.S. Supreme Court is set to hear arguments on whether to reinstate a federal ban on sweet-flavored vaping products. The case focuses on the FDA's efforts to regulate e-cigarettes and combat teen nicotine addiction. Past bans on flavored products are credited with significantly reducing youth vaping, which reached epidemic levels in 2019. Despite denying over a million applications for candy- and fruit-flavored e-liquids, concerns remain about unauthorized sales online and in unregulated shops. The incoming administration of President-elect Donald Trump may take a different stance, as Trump previously vowed to "save" vaping in a social media post.
