Growing Calls to Integrate Tobacco Harm Reduction Into Drug Services

Tobacco harm reduction should be integrated into drug and alcohol services, where smoking rates often remain high and quitting support is limited. People who use drugs are frequently left behind by mainstream tobacco control, despite facing some of the greatest smoking-related health burdens. Offering accurate information and access to lower-risk nicotine alternatives could create more realistic pathways away from cigarettes. Harm reduction should apply to smoking too.
