Display Ban Slammed

Retail visibility is not just advertising; it is how many adult smokers discover that alternatives to cigarettes exist. A display ban may make vaping less visible, but it could also make the lower-risk option harder to notice while combustible tobacco remains familiar through habit, history and availability. The policy question should be practical: does hiding legal vapes help people stop smoking, or does it simply make harm reduction less obvious? Public health gains little from making safer choices harder to see.

World map

11.80% of the adult population are current smokers. There are approximately 6.7 million current smokers in United Kingdom 13.60% of men are current smokers but only 10.10% of women.
