Czech Health Ministry Wants to Ban Sweet-Flavoured Electronic Cigarettes
The Czech Health Ministry plans to amend a decree that could severely impact the e-cigarette industry by banning all flavors except tobacco and key additives in e-liquids. Industry representatives fear a collapse due to this move, emphasizing that selling tobacco-flavored products without common ingredients would be unfeasible. A new excise tax on e-cigarettes is also on the horizon, raising concerns about the government's inconsistent approach given e-cigarettes' role in smoking reduction. Experts warn the ban could lead to increased tobacco use or smuggling. The Chamber of Electronic Vaping advocates for restricting e-cigarette access to minors instead of an outright ban.
