AMA criticises NT politician Kezia Purick for speaking at the Global Tobacco and Nicotine Forum

The involvement of a Northern Territory politician at a global conference for the tobacco and nicotine industry has been labelled "shameful" by the head of Australia's peak body for doctors. NT independent MLA Kezia Purick attended the Global Tobacco and Nicotine Forum (GTNF) in South Korea in September, speaking on a panel about industry regulation. [...] Ms Purick represents an electorate in Darwin's rural area and is a former speaker of the NT parliament, which has been consistently criticised for its lack of action on tobacco regulation.
