    There are many interventions from a public health or health and safety perspective that could be called harm reduction – seat belts, crash helmets, speed limits, safer drinking levels, smoking bans. But as Ethan Nadelmann was at pains to point out at the GFN conference, harm reduction is not just another name for public health or health and safety. It sits at the intersection between public health on the one hand – and human rights and civil liberties on the other.

  • GFN taking the debate on vaping on the road

    In March the GFN team organised a series of three dialogues in the UK to explore ‘How safe is vaping? Media coverage, dilemmas and solutions in work and social spaces’ These, each hosted by local partners, took place in Leicester, Liverpool and Glasgow.

    The format was for a panel of leading thinkers and advocates to give short introductions, followed by a discussion involving the audience. Each event was designed to last for about 2 hours.

DE Consumers The IG-ED e.V. is the first consumer’s organisation of German speaking e-vapers. They work voluntarily and independently of producers and dealers.

Their goal is to inform about the e-cigarette as well as to correct the manifoldly circulated misunderstandings and faulted information. IG-ED e.V. does not represent any commercial interests – the activities are solely based on membership fees, donations and many personal contributions of their members. Their main focus is on informing politics and media in Germany, Austria, Switzerland as well as the whole European Parliament with respect to everything related to e-vaping.
