Most Australians believe cigarettes are now too expensive, a Daily Mail Australia poll has found.

An article published on Tuesday revealed the illegal lengths desperate of smokers were taking to get around the soaring price of cigarettes in Australia - which are now the most expensive in the world.

Daily Mail Australia asked readers: 'Do you think cigarettes in Australia are too expensive?'

And a whopping 86% of the 923 who completed the poll agreed that smokers were paying too much.
